Disconnect

Disconnect is an exploration of Manhattan’s Chinatown, which has served as one pathway towards reckoning with my own relationship to Chinese culture. This project takes place mainly inside the desolate East Broadway mall where business is leisure and everyone is having a smoke and sipping tea. It is a small window into a culture that has persisted for thousands of years.
